DAY 2
You’ve Helped Provide Nutritious Meals for a Child in School for One Week
Together with Convoy of Hope
🤝
What is your positive impact today?
Starting today, you’ve provided nutritious meals for one child in school for one full week. The child you support receives meals that balance nutritional value, local flavor, and context—depending on their location. Beyond these meals, problems of hunger and poverty are addressed simultaneously and there are customized plans in place for the specific location. Based on the needs, your support may also cover vitamins, deworming medication, and access to clean water.
💚
Why is your impact important?
Nearly one-third of the world’s population is moderately or severely food-insecure. And in low-income countries, 73 million children attend school hungry. Insufficient nutrition compromises the immune system, leading to poor health and lower school attendance: an estimated 200-500 million school days are lost every year due to poor health. Even worse, just about every 10 seconds, a child dies from malnutrition.
⚒️
How are we achieving your impact together?
Our impactful partner for today is Convoy of Hope. They provide meals to children by working together with local partners around the world. Next to the meals delivered, they also provide vitamins, deworming medication, and access to clean water through your support. In total, they have feeding programs in 36 countries and are currently feeding more than 570k children. And some of the children engaged in the feeding program receive their only meal of the day from them.
