Hey fellow impactful ninja ?

You may have noticed that Impactful Ninja is all about providing helpful information to make a positive impact on the world and society. And that we love to link back to where we found all the information for each of our posts.

  • Most of these links are informational-based for you to check out their primary sources with one click.

  • But some of these links are so-called "affiliate links" to products that we recommend.

Why do we add these product links?

First and foremost, because we believe that they add value to you. For example, when we wrote a post about the environmental impact of long showers, we came across an EPA recommendation to use WaterSense showerheads. So we linked to where you can find them. Or, for many of our posts, we also link to our favorite books on that topic so that you can get a much more holistic overview than one single blog post could provide.

And when there is an affiliate program for these products, we sign up for it. For example, as Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

What do these affiliate links mean for you?
  1. First, and most importantly, we still only recommend products that we believe add value for you.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission - but at no additional costs to you.

  3. And when you buy something through a link that is not an affiliate link, we won’t receive any commission but we’ll still be happy to have helped you.

What do these affiliate links mean for us?
  1. When we find products that we believe add value to you and the seller has an affiliate program, we sign up for it.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission (at no extra costs to you).

  3. And at this point in time, all money is reinvested in sharing the most helpful content with you. This includes all operating costs for running this site and the content creation itself.

What does this mean for me personally?

You may have noticed by the way Impactful Ninja is operated that money is not the driving factor behind it. It is a passion project of mine and I love to share helpful information with you to make a positive impact on the world and society. However, it's a project in that I invest a lot of time and also quite some money.

Eventually, my dream is to one day turn this passion project into my full-time job and provide even more helpful information. But that's still a long time to go.

Stay impactful,

📰 The quick summary: Three climate tech companies have joined forces to bring a new class of high-integrity carbon dioxide removal credits to market, combining rigorous system-level accounting with trusted registry technology to give buyers greater confidence in what they purchase.
📈 One key stat: Cowboy Clean Fuels operates the only patented BiCRS + RNG pathway on the market, meaning it simultaneously delivers permanent carbon removal and clean energy production from a single infrastructure system.
💬 One key quote: Peter Minor, co-founder and CEO of Absolute Climate, explains that “CDR is entering a mass-scale phase where projects are judged by how clearly their outcomes can be demonstrated.”

1️⃣ The big picture: Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is a critical tool in addressing climate change, but the credibility of carbon credits has long been questioned due to inconsistent accounting and verification standards. A new three-way partnership between Cowboy Clean Fuels, Absolute Climate, and Evident aims to tackle that problem head-on by combining project development, system-level carbon accounting, and registry technology under one framework. Cowboy Clean Fuels converts agricultural waste into renewable natural gas while permanently storing CO2 in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin. Its projects will now be certified under Absolute Climate’s Absolute Carbon Standard, which tracks CO2 flows across complex industrial systems to produce a verified net emissions figure. Credits get issued through Evident’s C-Capsule registry, adding a further layer of traceability and transparency for buyers.

2️⃣ Why is this good news: Buyers of carbon credits now have access to a new class of CDR credits that meet higher quality, traceability, and verification standards, helping to rebuild trust in carbon markets. By using system-level accounting, the partnership ensures that each credit accurately reflects its true atmospheric impact, reducing the risk of overestimating removal outcomes. Combining permanent CO2 sequestration with renewable natural gas production from agricultural waste means the same infrastructure delivers two climate benefits at once. Stronger verification frameworks like this one can encourage more investment in high-quality CDR projects, accelerating the growth of a market that is essential for meeting global climate targets. As CDR scales up, partnerships that set clear quality benchmarks help establish the kind of credibility the sector needs to attract long-term buyers and policymakers.

3️⃣ What’s next: With the partnership now announced, the next step is bringing the first certified credits to market through Evident’s C-Capsule registry. Absolute Climate’s system-level accounting methodology will need to demonstrate its ability to handle the complexity of combined CDR and RNG production at scale. Broader adoption of this framework by other project developers could help standardize high-integrity CDR credits across the voluntary carbon market.
