When was this event established: Wear It Pink Day was founded by the British breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, in 2002. It was created as a fundraising event for individuals, schools, and workplaces, to raise money for research and breast cancer support.

In the last 20 years, the risk of dying from early invasive breast cancer has reduced by around two-thirds.
