Pitch Your Story:
“Guest Post” Guidelines
Let’s be honest, nobody really likes guest posts—at least not in the traditional sense: That’s why we’re redefining guest posting at Impactful Ninja.
Rather than traditional submissions for backlinks, we focus on stories that inspire action and reflect our mission for positive impact (more about both below). And if your pitch aligns with our values, our editorial team will craft a news article with the depth and integrity our readers expect.
Ultimately, you are interested in getting your story featured—and we are interested in researching, writing, and publishing impactful stories!
That’s why we’ve flipped the script on guest posts and we invite you to pitch story ideas, not complete articles.

Write For Us?
With our news outlet, we have a natural place to feature your story (if it fits our guidelines, see below) while keeping our editorial integrity—as they will be published by our own editorial team:
- Instead of submitting a fully written guest post, you’d submit the story that you wish we’d cover, including all the background information that we need as a starting point.
- With this information, someone from our editorial team will take care of the rest for you (or your client), including all additional research and writing up to our standards!
In this way, we’d research, write, and publish a news article (aka, a “guest post”) for you, based on a great story you pitched us to cover for our news outlet!

These Are the Types of Stories That We Are Looking For
Before pitching your story to us, I invite you to check out Impactful Ninja. Because we only even consider publishing news articles that fit what we are standing for!
Here are two great places to start:
- Check out our Blog to learn more about the topics we generally cover, what we are standing for, and get first-hand insights into our editorial quality
- Check out our Newsletter to learn more about the types of news we generally cover (and also share with our audience)
Now, with these in mind, here’s what we are generally looking for:
- Your story (could also be about an organization or a product) has to be about something that makes a real positive impact on the world and/or society.
- No positive impact is too small, we are all about enabling our readers to take action for the better.
- And collectively, our mission is that we’ll make a much bigger positive impact than each of us could do alone.
First and foremost, we ensure that every single article and every single news story that we publish aligns with our mission to make a positive impact on the world & society.
Only then, we put in the work to research, write, edit, and publish content that meets our high editorial standards (check out a selection of the publications and scientific journals we’ve been featured in below).
Do you think the story you want to pitch to us fits these guidelines?
Great, let’s continue…

Here’s What You’ll Be Getting From Your “Guest Post” Story
Ok, so you have a story that you want to pitch to us that highlights a great piece of news and that truly makes a positive impact…
Let’s have a look at what’s in for you!
Once we accept your pitched story, here’s what you’ll be getting from us:
- White-glove news article writing: Our editorial team takes care of researching, writing, and publishing your story based on the initial information you shared (given that it fits our criteria mentioned above).
- Objective reporting: Please note that we do not compromise our editorial integrity with requests that are not based on factual truths (neither for your story nor for any other we’ve ever featured).
- Contextual links included: For every news story that we publish, we always include one contextual link at the top of the story plus the same link again at the bottom, linking back to the main source that we reference (so that our readers can always get the full background story).
- Timely publishing: Thanks to our proprietary news templates and our experienced editorial team, we can typically research and write your story within a few days and publish it within a week (depending on availability).
This means that you can cut down the admin effort typically required from your side:
- You don’t need to create any content (aka, no more back-and-forth about it),
- you don’t need to worry about the editorial quality (your story will be covered by true industry experts),
- you don’t need to write author bios (as our respective journalist publishes the story in their name), and
- you don’t need to waste any time waiting (once we’ve aligned on the requirements).
But that’s just the beginning!
The magic really happens once we’ve published a great news article (for a story you pitched us) on our website:
- We have a strong website authority with a high Domain Rating of 60 (Ahrefs) coupled with an incredibly low Spam Score of 1% (Moz)
- Our content is read by millions per year (with ~250k+ to 450k+ PVs per month, depending on the season)
- The average session duration of our readers is at an industry-leading ~6:20 minutes
- And our content is trusted and referenced by thought leaders and industry experts (check out some of the references below, including an opinion piece by a Pulitzer Prize winner)
How does that all sound to you, do you think we are a great fit? And is the story that you want to pitch to us also aligned with our criteria outlined above?
Great, then we can’t wait to hear from you!

Pitch Us Your Story Here
Fill out this conversational form to pitch us your story and we’ll get back to you in case there’s a mutual fit.
Please note that we won’t ever publish any story that doesn’t fit our criteria. If we think your pitched story is the right fit, we’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps and anything else we need from your side.

Final Words
As you can imagine, we are getting lots of submissions every single day. Therefore, please avoid sending emails asking whether your pitched story is getting published or not. If we have selected your story, you’ll hear from us promptly.
Just in case, here are the two most common reasons why stories don’t get selected and published:
- The core of the story is not aligned with our mission to enable our readers to make a positive impact on the world & society.
- The primary source you shared doesn’t fulfill our strict quality guidelines.

You made it to the bottom of this page – congrats!
