Hey fellow impactful ninja ?

You may have noticed that Impactful Ninja is all about providing helpful information to make a positive impact on the world and society. And that we love to link back to where we found all the information for each of our posts.

  • Most of these links are informational-based for you to check out their primary sources with one click.

  • But some of these links are so-called "affiliate links" to products that we recommend.

Why do we add these product links?

First and foremost, because we believe that they add value to you. For example, when we wrote a post about the environmental impact of long showers, we came across an EPA recommendation to use WaterSense showerheads. So we linked to where you can find them. Or, for many of our posts, we also link to our favorite books on that topic so that you can get a much more holistic overview than one single blog post could provide.

And when there is an affiliate program for these products, we sign up for it. For example, as Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

What do these affiliate links mean for you?
  1. First, and most importantly, we still only recommend products that we believe add value for you.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission - but at no additional costs to you.

  3. And when you buy something through a link that is not an affiliate link, we won’t receive any commission but we’ll still be happy to have helped you.

What do these affiliate links mean for us?
  1. When we find products that we believe add value to you and the seller has an affiliate program, we sign up for it.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission (at no extra costs to you).

  3. And at this point in time, all money is reinvested in sharing the most helpful content with you. This includes all operating costs for running this site and the content creation itself.

What does this mean for me personally?

You may have noticed by the way Impactful Ninja is operated that money is not the driving factor behind it. It is a passion project of mine and I love to share helpful information with you to make a positive impact on the world and society. However, it's a project in that I invest a lot of time and also quite some money.

Eventually, my dream is to one day turn this passion project into my full-time job and provide even more helpful information. But that's still a long time to go.

Stay impactful,

📰 The quick summary: Aptera Motors successfully tested their solar-powered vehicle in the Mojave Desert, achieving remarkable energy efficiency that enables viable solar mobility for transportation.
📈 One key stat: The solar electric vehicle takes over three minutes to decelerate from 60 mph to a complete stop even while traveling uphill, demonstrating exceptional energy efficiency.
💬 One key quote: “Our validation testing confirms that we’re on track to achieve our target energy consumption of roughly 100 Wh/mile—unlocking a level of efficiency that makes solar mobility possible in a way never seen before,” describes Aptera co-founder and co-CEO Steve Fambro.

1️⃣ The big picture: The transportation industry faces growing pressure to reduce carbon emissions and achieve sustainability goals. While electric and hydrogen technologies have dominated the alternative vehicle market, a new competitor has emerged. Aptera Motors recently completed testing for their solar-powered vehicle in California’s Mojave Desert, marking a significant milestone. This innovative approach challenges the current dual-track thinking of electric versus hydrogen power, offering a third option that harnesses solar energy directly. Their successful tests demonstrate that solar mobility can become a practical transportation solution.

2️⃣ Why is this good news: This solar-powered vehicle achieves an impressive energy consumption target of approximately 100 Wh/mile, making true solar mobility possible for the first time. The technology moves beyond theoretical calculations to practical application on real roads. By creating an alternative to both electric and hydrogen vehicles, Aptera helps diversify sustainable transportation options. The success of this project opens doors for similar innovations in other transportation sectors, including maritime shipping where companies like Windship Technology are using wind and solar energy. These diverse approaches increase the likelihood of meeting global carbon neutrality goals.

3️⃣ What’s next: Aptera Motors plans to develop its next production-intent validation vehicle with improved design features including optimized parts and reduced gaps. Once complete, this updated solar-powered car will undergo additional testing to determine its full range capabilities from 100% to 0% charge. Engineers will also evaluate real-world solar charging effectiveness in various conditions.
