Hey fellow impactful ninja ?

You may have noticed that Impactful Ninja is all about providing helpful information to make a positive impact on the world and society. And that we love to link back to where we found all the information for each of our posts.

  • Most of these links are informational-based for you to check out their primary sources with one click.

  • But some of these links are so-called "affiliate links" to products that we recommend.

Why do we add these product links?

First and foremost, because we believe that they add value to you. For example, when we wrote a post about the environmental impact of long showers, we came across an EPA recommendation to use WaterSense showerheads. So we linked to where you can find them. Or, for many of our posts, we also link to our favorite books on that topic so that you can get a much more holistic overview than one single blog post could provide.

And when there is an affiliate program for these products, we sign up for it. For example, as Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

What do these affiliate links mean for you?
  1. First, and most importantly, we still only recommend products that we believe add value for you.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission - but at no additional costs to you.

  3. And when you buy something through a link that is not an affiliate link, we won’t receive any commission but we’ll still be happy to have helped you.

What do these affiliate links mean for us?
  1. When we find products that we believe add value to you and the seller has an affiliate program, we sign up for it.

  2. When you buy something through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission (at no extra costs to you).

  3. And at this point in time, all money is reinvested in sharing the most helpful content with you. This includes all operating costs for running this site and the content creation itself.

What does this mean for me personally?

You may have noticed by the way Impactful Ninja is operated that money is not the driving factor behind it. It is a passion project of mine and I love to share helpful information with you to make a positive impact on the world and society. However, it's a project in that I invest a lot of time and also quite some money.

Eventually, my dream is to one day turn this passion project into my full-time job and provide even more helpful information. But that's still a long time to go.

Stay impactful,

Happy Thursday 👋

Think about all the cars around you that still rely on fossil fuels. Wouldn’t it be great if they had a fuel option that doesn’t produce carbon emissions and is completely sustainable?

At least our environment and I would appreciate that a lot!

I’m lucky enough to live in a city where I can use my bicycle every day. Or public transportation if I need to go a little further away.

In fact, I haven’t even owned a car in more than a decade now…

But not everybody might be that lucky, so I am especially happy to share this week’s story of the week with you…

🌞 Discovered: Clean Fuels Made From Solar Power

Great news for cars that rely on traditional fuels: Researchers from the University of Cambridge have developed a solar-powered technology that can convert carbon dioxide (CO2) and water into liquid fuels… That can be used as drop-in fuel for cars!

Unlike fossil fuels, these solar fuels produce net zero carbon emissions and are completely renewable. Plus, unlike most biofuels (like bio-ethanol), they don’t require any agricultural land that could be used for food production.

This is the first time that an artificial leaf, using only the energy from the Sun, produced high energy density fuels that can be easily transported and stored.

These artificial leaves could help us transition away from fossil fuels.

Although the technology is currently at the laboratory scale, it marks an important step in moving away from fossil fuel reliance and toward a more sustainable future.

📢 More Good News…

👉 CDP introduces plastic reporting: For the first time, the Carbon Disclosure Project will request up to 7,000 companies, including Amazon and Mcdonald’s, to disclose their production of plastic polymers and packaging. This information will be publicly available and will prompt more corporations to reduce plastic waste.

👉 New menopause drug wins US approval: US regulators have approved a new drug named Veozah to treat hot flashes, a common menopause symptom that can severely disrupt women’s lives. Clinical trials involving 3,000 women have found the drug successful and a suitable alternative to traditional hormone replacement therapies.

👉 Clean energy investments expected to surpass fossil fuels: A new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows that low-emissions energy will cover nearly 90% of total investments in electricity generation in 2023. Solar power is taking the lead, expecting to receive more than $1 billion in investments this year.

Share the news with your friends to make a bigger positive impact on the world and society together!

Stay impactful 💚
